The entire Coleman system is ingenious and complex for an untrained person to work on. You can easily fix it until it is broken. I was working on removing the round pan that sits under the burner plates on my 502. It would not budge. PB Blaster did little to loosten it. I put a vice-grip on the edge and tapped it sharply from the side. It moved; I tapped more, it moved more. Now it spins freely but does not unthread a bit. Dohhhhhhhhh.......
I shortend the tube on my baby Enders last weekend while knocking it with a piece of wood and my hammer, trying to open the NRV, the valve now works and the tube is shorter and I had to tap it some more to get it squared off so it would fit the nut that the pump shaft goes thru and seal. I hope I haven't led you down the wrong path, my 9C is an old suitcase stove with the horizontal tank on the outside. I can play with it later, but thank you for the help. I'm new to all this fettling stuff, all I have worked on in the past was my MSR Internationale so it is good and educational to receive help from the practiced hands here.
