Coleman Handy Gas Plant, No.457

    Hello all,

    just curious if anyone knows anybody who could provide the dimensions of the heat drum attachment for the 457G gas plant? I reckon they’re nearly impossible to find for sale, so I was thinking about fabricating my own.

    If any of you gents have an idea for where to find, or who to ask about those dimensions, I would appreciate your thoughts.

    Vince, I believe the heat drum is the same diameter as the grate. A video I ran across showed someone putting one on his HGP after it had "warmed up". It appeared to be a snug fit around the grate. Below is a picture I found somewhere.

    The hat looks to be very similar in shape to the drip pan, or whatever it might be called.

    What a great post on the HGP 457. It will I imagine be a reference for me as I have one of these monsters inbound. Sadly I didn't get the 99p bargain though.
