I'm slowly working through the pile of stoves I brought back from the ICCC convention. I've had this 2E around for a good eight years, not sure what to do with it. Someone sandblasted it before I got it, which made the case/oven restoration easy, but they blasted the tank full of pinholes. They also removed all the valuable parts. I picked up a donor 9E at the convention. It was a real mess, but I was able to scavenge the tank, grate, legs, cap, pump, generator, etc.

    Superb restoration.

How did you reproduce the original lettering?

I had a No. 1 stencil design and downsized it to 3" while adding the "Made in USA" text. I emailed it to my wife and she cut a stencil with her Cricut.

On that type of stove, in my opinion, the quality of the reproduced lettering is so important to get right - and you sure did one hell of a great job on both stoves you have restored. Well done you
