Also, may get to the point where patience may pay off. Either picking up something you like or rare, or waiting for missing/correct parts to appear. Sometimes parts deals may only have one thing you need, but I have found that later, a part or two in that bunch had something I needed to complete a stove that sold cheap due to parts missing.

I think they were made as boat stoves, due to unavailability of the Swedish stoves during the war. (Solus came out in immediate post-war years.)

    Howdy, @Mike Lantz ,

Welcome to CCS! As for finding a proper Coleman burner, it "can" be done. But, only with patience, and wearing out lots of shoe leather, and/or internet browsing. I found one, years ago, for a very fair price. I'll bet you can find one, too, but only if you're willing to practice the above suggestions regularly.

Otherwise, as @ArchMc and others have suggested, seek out another brand burner that will fit your fuel tank, and call it good! You may have to make your own legs, again, as mentioned. But, there is plenty of excellent info here on CCS about how to go about that task

As you live in SoCal, keep your eyes open on the Events area, to see when another CASG (California Stove Gathering) will take place. It will be a great place to meet other Stovies, camp, use stoves, fettle them, and just have an all around good time! Take care, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc
