Date code on MSR XGR EX

    I received my MSR XGK EX stove. It appears new and not ever used. On the fuel block on the fuel line it has “MSR 1208” stamped on it. If this is a date code, was it made in December 2008 or made in August of 2012?

    It's not fresh on my mind but just read an old note I think is right, that by Jan 2001 the format went to simple straight forward (for USA)
