Ehrich & Graetz, 'Graezea' silent burner, late 1920s

    This stove has posed many questions, not least whether to present it here, or under the name of Falk, Stadelmann & Co Ltd in Great Britain. It seems unquestionable that it was made in Germany by Ehrich & Graetz, but unlike the examples in Ehrich & Graetz's own catalogues, this example has no markings of any sort either on the tank or any of the components. As such it seems more in line with some stoves made by Ehrich & Graetz for sale in Britain through Falk, Stadelmann. The lack of markings hiding the country of origin. 1930s German catalogues also show the Graezea on sale there at that time with a different form of burner cap:

    This next sequence is what we have here, with the silent cap being a very distictive UFO clone, and noting too the equally distinctive lighting assist tube:

    The rather unique burner proved very effective once a bit of experimentation had narrowed down the best set up to be with a 0.23mm economy jet:
