hi folks; (is this the only one??) i have a late 20's clayton&lambert model#3, three burner suitcase style pressure fuel stove with pilot lights for the outer burners and built in stand/shelves. i have been looking for info on this stove for twenty years, it may be a prototype as i have never found anyone else that has one. i would like to post a picture but am not very computer savy. you may see my stove on terrance marsh website, gas pressure stoves & lamps, listed under stove manufactures a-d, mine is second from bottom. thanks, mike... (hope i did this right) p.s. i am seeking information on years of production, numbers manufactured if any besides mine.---(does anyone out there in stove land have one of these?)---
gary; thank you! i took that photo and e-mailed it to terry so i don't think there would be a problem, if i knew how, that is the photo i would have posted. thanks again. mike...
WoW! I wonder what the dimensions (height etc) are assembled? I suppose they can be extrapolated from the dimensions given... Lots of working/storage surfaces to the sides and below. Nice. [|*|]
gary&steve: you can find some info on this stove by looking up u.s. patent #31735151 nov.12 1929 or patent #1819669 aug.18 1931. patent was filed for on aug.27 1926. my stove is marked patent pending so i believe it was made between 1926 & 1929.i can find no historical info on this stove after 1931 and clayton&lambert although still around have lost all records concerning this stove.gary; your right its size is like a later coleman circa late 1930s, however colemans first stove, model #1 a two burner was made in 1926 and was quite simple and crude compared to the clayton$lambert. mike...(i also own the first version of the coleman #1)
eskerlakes: the stove is packed away at the moment, but to give you an idea of its size i am 5 foot 10 inches and when on its stand it is waist high and about four feet long with side tables in place, these also tilt up to be used as wind wings. mike...
Hello, Now there is a stove I would like to have in my camp kitchen. Penty of room for an oven and a griddle plus the side shelves. I want one now !
hi all: yes i know it doesn't fit in a pack very well but for the type of vintage car tent camping that we do it has turned out to be the best suitcase type stove we have ever used. i think it may be a prototype as i have never seen or heard of another.(have you?) mike...
