I am quite aware that loctite has been used on the SRV threads and either chemical means (acetone, alcohol or other suitable solvent) as well as heat to destroy the bond. Currently, BernieDawg is viewed as a last resort, and failing that, I may just wind up forging the hardened penta wrench myself as a least productive use of my time. Current hex socketed SRV brass Optimus tank caps are a least expensive option, but, are not period correct for the penta socketed SRV Optimus tank caps used with the mini pump, or the ordinary penta socketed SRV caps not used with the minipump.
