I cannot help. I do not polish.
    I like patina.

    I'm on the way....
If you want shiney, in the UK it's usually Autosol rather than the Brasso.

A Sievert SVEA 123 with full engraving is a precious thing. Some lucky folk possess unused NIB models. A work of manufacturing art, in my opinion ☺

I need a replacement vaporizer jet/nipple for original model SVEA 123. Any ideas where I can find one? Thank you.
    Ron.

    Welcome, @Ron McMillan

Before we get too far down the track, are you looking for the nipple for the 123, or the 123R?

Nipples for the 123R are available on the Bay of Evil. Those for the 123 are a bit harder to find.

    Cheers

    Tony

For the cost of a subscription you can post a WTB for the part(s) you want.

You might try peening the nipple. You can search here for how to do that.

I don't know what ‘post a WTB’ means. My fuel nipple appears to be closed completely.

With your fuel nipple, prick the jet with a wire that is less than 0.23mm in diameter. A steel high e guitar sting often comes as 0.19mm, but measure first.

It could be that the jet is blocked with carbon tht needs to be ejected.

Edit: WTB is "Want(ed) to Buy"

Sweet score! I just picked up a fully-engraved SVEA 123 myself, at a local antique store here for $35.
