Check if these pumps use dye. And if they call it clear kerosene. Some pump kerosene is best left to use in heaters.
I have been burning Jet A fuel from municipal airport since last year and I consumed 12 gallons rationing myself hehe I like to stay outside in the covered patio in cold months with my Tilley heaters and a thirsty perfection heater but this time I would love to find Kerosene from the pump not the ones you get from the store in jugs.
Merry Christmas all. My go to source of Heptane in the UK Heptane This is what Coleman's camping fuel liquid is in the EU just without the dye and corrosion inhibitors for long term storage in the metal tins. Look up the msds sheets: https://www.farnell.com/datasheets/1700915.pdf Same stuff but cheaper. Why is it cheaper in the US? Americans use naphtha which is a blend of hydrocarbons (cheaper) but can contain hexane which is banned by the EU as it is a neuro toxin, hence why only Heptane is in the EU formulation for Coleman's fuel. Some people use fast panel wipe which is also naphtha but you don't burn it when using it for its intended purpose. So if you are concerned about any potential exposure to hexane fumes, then Heptane is the way to go. I still have some left which is now 3 years old and it still burns as clean and well as new in both stoves and lamps.
Thank you for that @chocki- not much more expensive than naphtha in the largest sizes, and handily not a million miles from me for collection. I reckon I'll be having 25L of that once I'm low on brake cleaner.
