Hi Jim. I was responding more to Ian S's question of what is used, instead of what is ideal to use. So I'm going off topic I guess, sorry. Re my local student population: it's a case of needs must. And since when have students cared about proper food preparation anyhow? I'd punt that much of the Asian population has/is happily sacrificed/sacrificing heat output when leaving the fire pit behind as well.

Primus 85 is enough for one or two person use. If we have four to five persons,maybe should be choose military 68-2 stove
