I just started to love pressure stoves this year. I have memories of my mum using one on our picnics and bought an Optimus 48 this year, then a Primus 96 and then a Primus 210. I love getting them working. Just had a very happy morning fixing a few issues and boiling kettles . My husband chats with me and my girls watch on bemused. Everything now smells of meths, paraffin and Brasso! I am going to teach the girls how to use to them on our picnics and camps. Without this website and enthusiasts posting, making washers and seals, non of this would happen. Thank you.
Welcome Be careful with the Brasso. Ammonia and brass do not go well with pressure devices. It may cause stress cracks.
Welcome. You have a few beauties with which to play. Glad to see your girls taking an interest, as well. Lots of good information here at CCS, so have fun!
Greetings, @Cobo , Welcome to CCS!! It's grand that you are doing this with memories of your Mum in your heart!! Mum would be proud of you and very happy, indeed, that you followed in her footsteps! And, as has been mentioned above, you already have a very nice stable of lovely brass kero-burners, an entire "family", so to speak!! Well done, that!!! We are glad that you found us, and have an enjoyable time passing the love of these wonderful pressure stoves to your girls, "infecting them with the stove pox", as it were!!! Take care, Happy Sunday, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc
@Cobo Welcome to CCS! It seems that you have already used this site to your benefit. To polish brass I always recommend using 'Autosol' cream.
Welcome, you will find us a most helpful lot. So ask many questions and we will put you in the right direction. Note that sometimes no mater how much you look for an article it can’t be found, then someone will post a link. Cheers Rob
Hi @Cobo, it's nice to see another member down this way. Are you further SW then the West Wilts area?
