I heard of someone local to me who'd been trying to sell some stove spares but hadn’t got any interest (he was asking too much). So I got in touch, we struck a deal and today I went to collect. He offered to throw in some founts too and when I saw them all became clear... he’d stripped perfectly good stoves to sell the bits as he thought he’d make more money that way. I’ve just been through the goodies and find I now have: One 1934 Primus No. 5 (already have one), one 1938 Primus No. 10 (new to me), one anonymous stove but I think it’s a Burmos No. 55 (so new to me) and one 1930s Juwel No 21 (battered but new to me). There are some bits missing: I only have two legs for the Juwel (but have two spares from something else), the Juwel's unique pump knob/tank plug is lost. Inevitably two of the silent burner inner and outer caps are missing. There is some weird stuff left over (that I’ll soon be asking for help identifying) but I have a nice tin for a Veritas 1 Pinter Picnic (with RM decal!) and spirit tin for same. Here’s the loot: So that's more time in the fettling cave for me then Cheers, John
Wow what a find and a different group of parts. I see a few Primus 96 parts. The tri fold windscreen to a Primus 96. A Tilley ceramic insulator for a bowl fire. A Coleman pot support for a 400 or 505? Jeff
That is a great purchase! You guys in the UK are so fortunate to be able to find things like this. Bob
