If this entry qualifies more for the Frankie section, please move it. It's been a year since I bought this deformed Primus 210 tank. It was a very good bargain, I think($10). I was hoping to find a burner for it in the future. However, after many months of searching ended in failure, I decided to design on my own a suitable adapter that would allow the use of a standard burner from a 1 liter stove. Naturally, the information on this forum, largely inspired me for this project.I measured the length of the ascending pipe in a 1-liter stove, purchased a piece of brass rod, drew out the design and asked a friendly turner to realize it. In the course of the work, it turned out that the thread of the male end was extremely unusual. Since the friend didn't have a suitable thread cutter, he did it with the help of a lathe knife and appropriate turns (great skill!). I was left to make brackets of the appropriate length screw on the burner and conduct tests In the video you can see the work with a silent and roaring burner. Some photos. And height comparison with Optimus 00
@Knee good job with this 210! Just for your knowledge, a riser from a 51/54 can be used on 210, they share the same tapered threads. Cheers, Nicola
Thanks @Harder D. Soerensen .. If it wasn't for a skilled turner friend, I'd probably still be waiting for a burner. For the time being, that's how I'm combining. As if I could afford complete stoves, I probably wouldn't feel like combining.
