Okay let's make a little summary over 30 years searching for a stove for biking. For a bike a stove mustened be too light but it also shouldn't be to heavy, the Enders 9061 with two kilos should be the end. A bit lighter should be pleasent. Should be stable at bumpy ground so i don't like the stoves with the tank under the burner, the Phoebus is a nice stove, i never had problems with it, but thruw down the pot several times, always on the search for flat ground. The same with the coleman peak ,great stove, easy to handle, but attention on bumpy ground and i'm afraid nothing for carburater fuel. Borde nice small stove, but a bit complicated to handle, not much comfortale. The new design stoves with bottles for the tank, light , but expensive, a bit easy constructed with materials i don't want to rely on. The Optimus Hiker, when i had it, i had only troubles, perhaps it was a monday production, it has bit more power then the Enders, but in 98% i don't need that more power, i think a bit less pumping as at the Enders, runs longer with high performance without pumping, but less solid than the Enders, the colour doesn't keep at the box, the potstand is a bit sloppy and it's a problem putting my little italian coffemaker on it , without modifying the potstand. A bit more problems to store away in the bikecases, as the case is a bit higher than then the Enderscase. That i also didn't like at the Phoebus, and the Coleman Apex all that different pieces to store away, take care that the plastikpump doesn't break etc. So my Enders 9062 BN is it, at bit lighter and smaller than the Enders 9061 BW, but the same solid technique, the smaller tank was first an issue for me, but it lasts long enough, and when you want to save weight, the easyest way is at the tank and the case. The Optimus 99 could have been it, but i have never seen one live, it was never in a globetrottershop here in Germany, so i don't know if it was ever sold in Germany, also nowadays you can't find it on german evilbay, what makes me think it was never sold in Germany. The copy i had was crap. So i'm quite happy with my Enders 9062BN as the burner is closer to the tank in a case thats more narrow, you don't have to pump as much as at the 9061 BW and so it's equal to the Hiker. So that's quite it, only a little bit to add next week. Good night Friedhelm
Hello, thank you for the collection of beautiful and old stoves. Happy New Year Experience To easily turn off this borde stove, it is enough to hold the top of the stove up (to the sky), gasoline does not reach the stove, and it shuts off immediately. You do not need to turn the control valve.
