Is retro-fitting a Primus pump possible?

This is VERY interesting! I would also like to add a CEJN (or similar) connector to an old aluminium Primus pump.

Unfortunately the Primus pump that I own does not have this control knob, shown on the left side of your picture. However, I would prefer this knob to have a "shutoff valve" at the pump as well, not only the regulator spindle at the burner.

There was an interesting discussion about the evolution of Primus pumps here. The pump model I have is this one:

I can easily remove this brass bolt on the left side. But do you have any idea what could be used as a shutoff valve, similar to the knob that @pau-i-amor has on his pump?

If my memory is right, the control valve you allready have (on the pipe), will fit.

Really? So I could just unscrew this knob with spindle and screw it into the aluminium cube of the pump?

With a bit of luck I also managed to get a second piece of those old Primus fuel pumps.

As you can see, there were two different Lindal valve adapters used for the older aluminium pumps. Due to its rolled edge and the hidden lock ring, the adapter on the left side won't allow to replace the sealing inside. In case of a damaged O-ring, it will be "lost". Replacement is only possible for the adapter on the right side. However, some witty users of a German outdoor community have managed to build their own adapter that allows replacement of the sealing nevertheless: Undichte Primus Pumpe - outdoorseiten.net

It was quite reverent to unpack the stove - it seems like a piece of history. I am not sure if we will ever see stoves again manufactured in such a good quality...

@afoton The threads of the valve spindle are the same indeed! However, I am not sure if I can really use this spindle that was previously used in the hose adapter: The tip of that spindle looks quite protruding, so I fear that the O-Ring won't seal the fuel drilling, because, when screwing in, the tip might collide with the aluminium body first...

Could anyone post a picture of the original valve spindle of this pump? So we can compare if this is really the same spindle type as that one at the hose adapter?

Could anybody with such a pump type please unscrew the needle valve spindle and take a picture of it?

I am not sure if the shape and tip angle of my needle valve spindle are indeed the same. I currently have this one here:

Just wanted to say that I also had success finally. :)

It is the original Primus OmniLite Ti hose that I crimped onto a male CEJN coupling. Works absolutely perfect!
