Good morning, evening, afternoon; which ever fits your location: I have been away for a little over a year. Last year about October 10th I spilled a wee bit of liquid on my laptop keyboard which shut down the operation of the laptop. I'm sure many of you know how this affects the operation. Then a couple of months later my wife set the laptop on the floor against the wall and placed serving tray in front of it. My laptop became "lost" and as I had been unable to replace it at that time, I was off line everywhere. This caused me more trouble than I want to go into. BUT I'M BAAAAACK!!!!! Ross I need to pay into the operation fund for full membership, if you can PM me the info for that objective I'll be glad to forward you some monies. Lance
Thanks Tony. We found the laptop just a week ago and when I plugged it in and charged the battery it fired right up. I'm confused as to how or why this happened but there it is or here it is or...... it is. lance Tony what time is it there please?
Welcome back @Lance strange how things go missing when in plain sight. Had similar happen to me yesterday. Unpacked some electronics and put one of the cables to one side whilst I set everything else up. Came to make the final connections and couldn't find the crucial wires. SWMBO had moved something so it was not in my way... right onto the bits I needed. 30 mins of frantic searching and doubting that I'd even unpacked them later she recovered the moved item and the job could be finished. Surprised the laptop fired straight up. I older times it would have had a dead watch battery that is supposed to maintain the BIOS settings. Regards John
I've lost my keys a couple of times but a laptop? Never. Welcome back and I'd suggest getting your eyes checked. Ben
Morning, Lance! Great to talk to you yesterday, and to catch up on all that's been going on in your life! I tend to lose my glasses, since I don't need them for my computer any longer, I oft times set them down, then cannot find them again, and have to frantically seek them out! Sheesh! In any case, glad you are back, and look forward to seeing you here, now and then, when time permits! Take care, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc
1531. I'll catch up on some and others will go unread. Might even drag some up from the gravel pit for further review. lance
