I seem to remember that I ran a load of dirty empty 45 ACP brass cases through the dishwasher once. I don't remember what I used for a container, but they came out looking nice and clean and they worked fine. That was back when the diswasher detergent had good old TSP in it. I have a really dirty cheapo Indian brass stove, maybe I should try it?
