Tried the tiny Trangia kettle atop an Esbit stove with a Trangia alky burner. Although I don't favor the alky stove for anything beyond making a cuppa or perhaps doing a very simple breakfast, in this case it shines. It doesn't take a whole lot more fuel to boil a half-litre of water than it would take to prime a brassie, and you can hardly argue the simplicity or speed. I find that one 35mm film canister of "meths" gets two fairly good cups of tea. Great little stove for occasional use.
