@Tony Press , Tony, that's great news! One of our future work trips will take us to Antarctica, but we will not be leaving the ship on which we will be working. To do so, for ONE HOUR ashore would cost us $9,000.00, EACH! That's FAR too rich for our blood, and wallets!! Instead we will be cruising around the shore areas for four days. I'll be taking multiple camera bodies, both FX and DX and host of good lenses. My 500MM will be put to good use, on both types of bodies. The DX camera, with that 500mm lens, will offer the equivalent of a 750mm lens. I'll do the best I can, but wish the cost wasn't astronomical to go ashore!
