    Bialaddin Rules!

And what's that gassie stuff in the background?

Great pics, looks like a very nice site but too far of a long haul for me for a weekend unfortunately. Looking forward to Newark though....

Can't make it this w/e I'm afraid. My boss has thrown a full w/e at me complete with early starts Sat. & Sun. which effectively rule out a swift overnighter.
    So it goes.

Some more pics from last w/e:

The daffs were still in full swing at Tessdale despite being past their best only 70' further South. We've had a magnificent profusion of daffodils across the land this year. I think the earlier cold weather encouraged them to come on strong,

We had a good selection of tentage, ranging from Nick's traditional bell-ender, through more contemporary designs of my Cabanon & Trevor's Khayam, to Ross' eye-catching North Face,

Gary called into say hello and chewed the fat for a while,

and Tom quickly made friends with Molly (the Tan Tornado) and Bill,

Never one to pass up an oportunity, Nick catches 40 winks,

On the cooking front, I found myself without paraffin when I was getting the gear together so brought along a Lidl Tranclone and a 111B. I also had the Poor Man's Explorer with me but it was hiding from the camera,

As the night came on I got the Coleman Peak 1 lantern going along with the delightful Camping Gaz bowl fire. Mrs M., ever one to feel the cold was most appreciative when Nick supplemented the Gazzie with his BBF.

Sunday dawned bright , warm and sunny and all too soon we were on our way home after what was, for me, a most pleasant and relaxing break. :D
