I just wanted to let you guys know that one of the great things about being part of a forum like this is the fact that you get a chance to meet and interact with folks that are just down right up standing in my book. I just received a private email from a member concerned about an issue I am having with my Enders stoves. I did not solicit this but he,our very own, Presscall - John took it upon himself to try to diagnose the issue. Where else could you receive attention from someone overseas!!!!!! John my hat is off to you and also to this whole forum as this is not the first time, and positively won't be the last time a member has come to the aid of a fellow stovie My sincere gratitude Dave
Dave, What sort of problem are you having with your Enders? Has it been solved? Let me know, thanks Chef BC
"Aw shucks" as you Americans are wont to say, but you're most welcome. I'm just sorry I had no magic bullet fix to offer. Issue seems to centre on the sometimes unpredictable fuelling characteristics of worn silent burner caps ... but then, maybe not. John
Chef BC, The issue is that under a mild wind the cap will go into underburn on both my stoves. As I was relating to John the caps are in fairly poor shape with a lot of pitting. John confirmed that the Enders he has works great even in a stiff breeze so I think I will work on the inner and underside of the outer caps to see if it improves things. Do you have a spare inner and outer cap in good condition? Dave
