I just found these at plus2city.com 80 gram stove 102 gram stove Are there any reviews, consumer feedback on them?
I'm sure they would be fine, take into account how few brands of stoves are made outside of China these days. The cookware is pretty good off that site.
A member here by the username "Rucksack" lives in China and is very knowledgeable about these Chinese stoves. Looks like Bulin to me Link Or Maxsun. I am thinking the later. Check out this slightly better ebay seller that has the one stove for sale with lots of pictures. Link to ebay Jeff
Thanks Jeff. The second stove looks like a Kovea Titanium KB-0101 clone to me, even down to the clear plastic box with the word 'Camp' printed in gold lettering. The KB-0101 was marketed as a Kovea Camp 3 for a while, (I have this exact same model myself), and it came in a similar clear plastic case. I think the one on the plus2city site is almost certainly a Chinese clone of the Kovea, especially at that price. The Kovea KB-0101 has a slightly different detail to its folding pot supports. Try http://www.kovea.com if you want to compare them. As to the other stove, I cannot immediately place it. A Bulin perhaps, but I am just guessing. Bulin and Fire Maple make a lot more stoves than they show on their respective web sites. It could be a special order. It might also show up on one of the Chinese language sites. rucksack
They work just fine, probably, much like the million other basic gassie burner heads to be had. If I could still get 106 canisters, I'd very probably be still using them. I think BC maybe onto something with disposable burners. I'm putting my buck on the 2nd age of the alco-burner.
I have one of the 102g ones. Mine is called a BRS-3. It works very well. I noticed that the head was slightly loose but I tightened a small philips screw and it's fine. I've used it a few times in action and it boils water in no time. I've had a few stoves from China. My favourite is the TK111. This is a rough copy of a Coleman and being all-in-one is dead easy to set up, has a fabulous heat output and is easy to light and so on. I use White Spirit (Turpentine substitute) in it. I've also used it with petrol and Aspen 4t.
Hi, I have that 102 grams model. In my opinion it is very good small and lightweight stove, and price is ridilously low, especially if compared to similar products of so called quality brands. I recommend it for daytrip and summer use (I used mine twice today).
