    Presscall that is exactly what happened to my blue and red pump within the first couple of years, I think I purchased it in the late 90's. Would the new version pump fit my old dragon fly? I am able to use it I just have to hold the unit in place while I pump but sure would like to replace it. This has been a great stove over the years aside from that minor issue

    @jsr991 , welcome, and yes the new pumps fit the old stoves. MSR have compatibility between new and old stoves and pumps from their first stoves to the present. The Dragonfly vs everything else divide still applies, as does another that may or may not affect you. The new pumps have a slightly different thread profile, as do the newer fuel bottles. I've never had an issue with a new pump on an old bottle but it could potentially happen.

    Thanks so much Scrambler your response is appreciated.... I will put one on order today. I have the old fuel bottles as well hopefully there will be no issues. Worst case , I can purchase a new fuel bottle
