    Hi Jim and welcome.

It is refreshing to hear of your initial views of CCS.
I am a site moderator and so am very biased, but I do believe that this site has a close-knit international group of stove and outdoor pursuits enthusiasts who are helpful, skilled, knowledgeable, polite and well mannered.
    We get new members daily.
All are welcome, and information requests from newbies is given the same priority as requests from well established members.
I hope that you will stay with us and get to know us for many years to come.

Going back to your first post and pump leathers.
Many from the US use some sort of gun oil which they assure works very well.
I am in the UK and gun oil is alien to me.
I use '3-in-one' oil. Some stoves I bought new in the 1970s and 80s and treated their pump leathers with 3-in-one oil are still working well.

    Evening, Jim,

You are most welcome, Sir, and we're glad to have you here with us!! I've made files of some info about maintaining the earlier yellow pumps, and will attempt to post it in the Stove Reference Library right now. Wish me luck. IF this fails, then if you want to send me your email address, I can email you the info. I still have to find my rebuild kits, so I can measure the stuff you need, but on one of these sheets, you will find outlines of new and old o-rings, and you can just place the op-rings you find over the outlines, and choose what works best. That's how I got started with all this. Let's see if this stuff will post. Talk soon, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

Responded to your post in the Maintenance Section before I saw it here. Instructions posted perfectly and I have already copied to a file and printed to keep with the stove. Thanks.
