Mystery Fuel Cap Valve - Looking for some advice

    Hello. . . . Fellow stove lovers

    I have owned many stove through the years, and am now trying to clean up misc parts I have.

    I have been trying to figure out what stove this cap valve came from and to date have been unsuccessful, so anyone that could share their vast wisdom & shed a little light in my direction = it would be appreciated

    Measures Aprox. 3/4" across and 3/4" tall

    Looks like any one of the old Prentiss Wabers or AGM Kampkook fuel cap with check valve in fuel cap. It appears to be missing two parts. The first is the retaining outer cap to hold it on to the tank. The other part would be the air inlet valve that goes into the top of the cap. A pump would be used on the are inlet screw once you loosened it a turn. The ball on the inside would then rise up from air pressure in the tank and stop the flow of air out of the tank through the tiny hole you see in this part.

    Does the prentiss waber have a threaded pressure pump tip or small hose like the old KampKooks, as the insides where the pump would be positioned on mine is threaded . . . . . .

    I'm not sure who did it first or if only one did and the caps are interchangeable. I've got 2 Prentiss Wabers with thread on the inside of the filler cap valve and one of them came with the hose and thread connector that goes right into the cap. I've seen advertisements of the Prentiss Wabers showing the pump as part of the kit. There are examples in the gallery.

    There are also AGMs that have been posted with the hose as well.

    If yours is original, then AGM must have had the same offering. The attachable pump sure makes pumping those old tanks a whole lot easier, plus you don't put any stress on the tank or stove structure.

    Well it is different then the one on my AGM no.6 . . . . I did have a few prentiss wabers awhile back - I am thinking perhaps that is where it came from ??

    This cap inserts prior to an outer cap which seals it. . . . . . .

    I don't remember my Prentiss's pumps having the hose extensions, and YES it seems it would make it MUCH easier to pump up.
