    Do not pressurize the stove until the priming burn is finished or nearly finished. Best to just let it burn out, then pump a couple times and hold a match or lighter to the cap.

    Thanks everybody. I have tried all of these things. I have noticed some paraffin on my bench. Maybe the tank has a small leak although there seems to be reasonable pressure.

    Likely the pip in the NRV. Have you felt around the tank to see where the leak originates?
