No you have to do better than that. A 5 course meal all cooked on campstoves. Add a correct wine for each course (in half pint mugs) and strong liqueur coffee to finish and she will only remember the good bits.
I'd like come and bring a couple of stoves and a lantern that I need help with. Would anybody be able to sit down at a table and talk me through some problems on a SVEA 123 and a Primus Lantern? Thank's for your help.

Fettled both of those, so absolutely, yes. Hopefully the lantern's complete with its pricker rod. It has a rack (to engage with a pinion) at the lower end of the rod and the Primus pricker needle screws into the top. Might have a spare one of the latter if I can find it and bring it along. Not a lot else to go wrong with that design. John
I think I have a fair bit of different parts, gaskets, jets, mantles, Coleman Fuel, Lamp Oil (cleaner/purer Kereosene?) etc etc. What I don't have is the confidence to tighten things etc. I'll put a list/photographs on this thread later on in the week and if there's anything anybody can suggest that I need to bring also, I'll try and bring it. My SVEA 123 is the one without the inbuilt-pricker. I'm in Beirut just now, however in Damascus, whenever I walk through the soukh, I see this type of stove and lamp being sold/serviced for every-day use! I'm going to get to Newark on the Thursday probably. Thanks for the help that anybody can give.
We're going this Sunday, staying on the caravan park and getting some fishing time in, and then moving over to the rally field on Thursday morning. Let's hope the sun returns for us again!

So I dug out what I hope to get some help with. I have an SVEA 123 and a Primus 210 and some of these Tilley Lanterns I also have some washers for the stoves from one of the Forum Members in Scotland and various jets prickers mantles etc. I originally tried fibre washers but I cannot seem to do them up without nipping them. I have a couple of the very basic instruction sheets I was going to bring a card-table with plastic covering to work on. What tools do you suggest I bring? Thanks for your help.

I will have my kelly kettle with me as its faster to boil than most stoves, as i proved last year and it never fails.
Those look like Calmonite washers - a substitute for asbestos. They will be if they're out of the tin. They're rather brittle and wetting them before screwing up the burner will help...
We're here!!!!! Arrived yesterday afternoon, weathers ok, meant to be raining tomorrow, but then getting quite nice thereafter 21-23 degrees.
