@nmp, I usually used the Nerf on Trevor but decided against it this year, solid rounds. As you asked it's a Marttiini knife, find it's very handy in the kitchen, a fully set up photo shoot as you obviously guessed. Schoolboy eror with the 00, as I'd assembled it for display forgetting to unscrew the vent, as it was quite warm it dcided to empty the fount on it's own accord. It's one of my main users so always fuelled ready. Doesn't look pretty and the jets a bit worn but it'll boil water just fine.
@Spiritburner. Instead of stove wanging, set up a Nerf firing range in the Arms for target shooting, a lot less energetic if you're concerned about the health of attending members.
Aye - maybe. Would like something stove related. Looking forward to next year - should be more 'mobile'
@Spiritburner, how about something like a fun fair shoot with stoves as targets to knock over? Not actual stoves obviously. Need to find candy floss though......other prize suggestions accepted.
@Big Si, was thinking Nerf range, a bit more random. Polystyrene stove targets, just hope there isn't a stiff breeze to take the targets over is the draw back. You could do the air pistol stuff under the road.
Hi folks it was great to see so many people there again this year and nice to see new faces too. I must reiterate what others have said and thank Ross for arranging the event and negotiating a cheap price once again. Just a few photographs now i have managed to download them from my camera. @AussiePete, put it on the 'to do' list, and welcome. Nice lamp avatar. @nmp, new set of plug leads helped for a while. When I finally decided to fit new plugs I discovered at least one was screwed in just over finger tight. Wasn't happy when the head warmed up obviously. Bit of a schoolboy error there, I have said sorry to the van and it'll have Redex for a while to make up for it. The run to Newark, which was meant to give it a clear out, was possibly in vain, so there will probably be a few action shots on upcoming outings.
Oops! Let’s hope that better compression etc helps and the van go up in your esteem! Rust is my problem now on my transit Sloan MOT fail may be on the cards! Nick
