@Big Si That'll be a small queue then.
Just loading the car for a typical Newark - sun tan lotion and wellies:
Well Just been hunting through my stoves and found a 96. Looks complete. I cant bring many stoves with me as prob short on room ( mobility scooter takes up the boot. So tent etc will be on back seats).
The 96 will be coming together with one or two stoves that have some meaning to me. I am sure someone will be able to give me a hand with the 96 if any problems. I seem to remember firing it up not long ago.
Going to start packing tonight.
How are the bugs that bit you, Si?
@David Shouksmith They are fine but in recovery, waiting for some more mature and dare I say wiser blood to arrive. Have a good time counting 1,2,3, etc. What a way to urn a crust.
We'll that's 2kg of pizza dough proving in the fridge ready for Sat, found a few stoves and lamps in the far reaches of the garage as well, see you all tomorrow eve.
Have fun at Newark, you lot!
Hope to be there again...maybe next year.
Meanwhile, it proved all too much for Mick...
Glad you made it David
You might be glad he made it. But Mick might not...
Was he on the Meths again David
@Longilily no he'd just come back from Newark with a McDonald's milkshake. Lucky David was there with his camera.
I took along a load of odds & ends Bryan had left after he'd sold off his collection. I'm pleased to say that just about all of it sold & along with the money raised by the stove wanging competition (thanks to Big @kev_c for contributing his winnings!) I'll be handing over £469 to Sandra tomorrow for the St Cuthbert Hospice in Durham.
That's excellent Ross.
The pizza party raised £50 for Theo's favorite charity, Leash of Life.
Well done to all for the fund raising chaps, just to pass on my busgcraft friend Garry could not believe how friendly you all were, he said it was one of the best weekends he'd been on and can't wait till the next year.
Can't say fairer than that. Good to hear.
Well we are back in Stoke on the way home.
We BOTH had such a fun weekend!
Everyone has been so helpful and friendly.
I must confess I came with some trepidation about if I would manage and how Anne ( who was not a camper) would find things.
Well we both had a great time. Great food, fun company. Everyone was so helpful.
I never though I would be stove throwing lol.
I am sure there will be pictures in time.
Next year we will be in the rally field.
We would both like to thank all who went for such an enjoyable weekend.
