To protect the blue paint inside the case of my original roarer 111 I used a sheet of cooking foil folded in two, replacing as necessary.
The obnly heatproof paint I have is matt black cylinder/exhaust paint.

Ian, I had been planning on posting a very similar photo, but didn't get around to taking the picture this past weekend. For the first time ever I had my 4 111's running at the same time. My 111T needed a new check valve which I replaced, but it still didn't generate any pressure when I pumped it up. Come to think of it, the pump looked funny when I pulled it out. Oh, the leather bucket was gone! Is that important?

Here's my question, what happened to the original bucket? No leather pieces fell out when I shook the tank. Could it have just discintegrated inside the tank? I did have gas shoot out of the pump once, thankfully the stove was unlit at the time. Somehow I feel like David as I type this. ;)

Is a blown check valve repairable?

Next I got my monitor 3 legged stove fired up and running, only to discover a hairline crack in the tank as kero kept oozing out. I guess I have one to polish and put on the shelf.

Nothing fancy just check valve set on a lead washer.
There is a thread somewhere about it.
Don't worry a grown up will be along to point you in the right direction ;)

    Sweet Cherry Red ! :) :)

Is the burner not a paraffin/kerosene burner ? 4 tubes for the vapourising of fuel ! ? :?

Great flame, and a very nice job on the black paint work !

    hi spudz

yes it is a kero burner and it is runnin on it here but on all the others i have seen the burner has a hole in the top of one of them like a false tube i think. The proper petrol burners have only 2 tubes, but this is the hottest stove i have think nearley melts the pan supports and i have not over done it with the pump

    Wow Pete that's a goer.
I have 5 111s like that but they all have the hole in the top. It's for squirting meths down into the spirit cup.

yes henry all my others are the same with the hole in, but this burner is like a proper roarer burner all 4 tubes connect to the top plate its a powerful burn too. Intrestingley the check valves in the tank lid and the pump were made of cork this indictes may be an earley version of the 111 as ross suggested at the meet. The windsheild has a funnel type thing on the side to get the meths to the burner ross told me some radius stoves are like this too. So dont really know what i have here but will be getting some use now had it 2 years never got round to it till today glad i did deserves to be used.

    cheers pete

    Hi All.
Is the stove of this military use made in Britain a companion of 111 ?
The tank is a brass. The burner is a silent burner. The valve wheel is black. The name is Centreforge Ltd. It is Portable Cooker CF82.

I have two 111C and a 111B. I like the later better as it is noisy
The 111B's can I believe use kero or petrol but I use kero as it seems to give a hotter flame and seems more frugal on kero.
    Regards,
    Alan :)
