Looks nice Ron. I picked up a Primus 111B this Fall to go with my other Optimus'.

Hey HD, well I have always looked out for an Optimus 111 as I love using kero as it is less volatile than coleman fuel or gasoline.

Am thinking of trading my Lenders if there is something out there that I need e.g. parts.

Looks like a nice one, Ron.

Don't know why exactly, but I much prefer the 111 over the 8R (probably the power). :) 8R is a little more practical in the pack though.

Yup, the 111 is slightly preferrable over the 8R although it weighs more. I kept my 123 since its the same performance as the 8R which went to a good home.

My 111T is also set up for kerosene. I have not yet endeavored to work my Coleman 502 for kerosene but in the future, I will try it out with a bit of tweaking but I have to read up on those who have successfully fired them up on kero.

Hey, thanks for the reminder to give my soon to arrive '66 502 a tweek with the wire.
Love the 111T on kero, so nice and quiet. The ratty 8R I have runs great, I have used it on a few bp trips. A couple pumps and she goes crazy.

i love the 111 burning kero - it is *fierce*!

definitely a go-to stove for big jobs on an outing (but also simmers nicely, especially w/a thick stainless mesh bridge across the pot supports

Stop that! I keep getting fits to get out and fire up more stoves and I am away from them all week at work. :(
