Personally, I see no issue worrying about the SRV, a good test to see if its gonna go supersonic is if you can't touch the tank for a second or less. Unless you have a Cobra 10, then that gets really hot. Keeping too large a pot on the stove or using for a extended time will make it hazardous. However, if it leaks at low pressure than that is another issue. Duane
I would still like to change them out. They come with the kits, so may as well use them. The one I had ordered came from South Korea. I did read some negative things about them though. It was in the shape of a "T", each end being different. The "upright" of the "T" had the penta end, and people said it would come unscrewed out of the top portion when using it. That's not good. I read to soak them in alcohol, to help dissolve the thread lock, and ease the tension of removing them. They must really be in there quite good. Berniedawg said he stopped making them, that he was the one that talked the guy in South Korea into making them. I guess I could try to make one with my Dremel.

@presscall How did you mark the end into a penta shape before grinding? @CW I've read a few times that those torx heads strip out the brass fittings.
I didn’t. Just by eye, grinding with a Dremel sanding drum in delicate, small passes and offering the tool up to an SRV socket frequently to identify high-spots for removal.
@presscall can you give some dimensions of the penta-key? I guess across flats is meaningless so guess flat to opposite point and width of a single facet perhaps? What size allen key did you sacrifice? Regards John

Sorry John, I wasn’t too quick with a reply. The allen key I used was one I don’t have much use for these days, an Imperial 5/32” size. Dimension you requested is 3.5mm, but the most reliable sizing is to grind off a little, offer it up to the SRV head, adjust, and so on. John
I got my hand on 2 111b's I fully serviced them, except for the SRV's. Because I don't have the right tools. So I am interrested in the 'hex-tools' as well. @Jeopardy did you manage to get a correct tool?
Hi @ajvuik Thanks for asking. My own 123R is a modern one with a hexagonal socket but I asked @presscall about the size of the Allen key he sacrificed for future reference. I didn't think it was clear from earlier in this thread and, as it happens, I thought I might need one at the time because I was bidding on an older stove that someone else beat me to. Regards John
