    Hello everybody
Saw this 111B on a auction site. It was described as a 111. And the photo was bad. So I was suprised when I opened the package and found a 111B inside. My first B type 111 and I'm a very happy man. Did not need much cleaning.Oiled the pumpleather and replaced the tank lid washer.Put some Aspen 4 in the tank and it burned nice and very hot. Flames were greenish in the start. I do not believe this stove has seen much use.The tanklid is fastened to the stove with a chain. Same chain as on the reg wheel. Is this original ? brgds Bjørn

    That is one nice 111!
I really like the smarts behind the chain to the tank lid! Beautiful brass and tin in excellent condition! The flask is a bonus! I thought it was a bottle for liquid soap.

Hi Bjorn, I think the chain(s) are original to the stove. Great find btw! Never seen a meths bottle like yours before, not sure if that is original to this model, but it looks perfect to me.

    Best regards,

    Wim

    Hi

111B and 111 are on top of my list. Very powerfull and small package. Nice tank capacity too. I have cooked 3 meals a day for 5 or 6 guys w/ no problem. Yours is an older model than mine. Looking at pictures of your burner and spirit cup it is in mint condition. I'm sure you'll enjoy using it very much.

    Thanks for the comments gentlemen.
I guess it was my lucky day. This type of meths bottle is new for me too. When studying the SRG I found an Optimus military 535 with a chain on the tanklid. So maybe this was a military modification ?? brgds Bjørn

Congrats! I think you're right on the money on the chain. I've got a military model just like yours save for olive painted case. Maybe someone took a mil-spec tank assembly and placed it in a civilian case? Mine also has the flame ring secured with a screw. Is there a hole for one in yours? The meths bottle is an enigma of its own. Maybe this whole kit is some small production series that didnt catch on?

    Hello pysen
My 111B is light blue in colour and doesn't look military at all. Flame ring is not secured by a screw.Did the Swedish Armed Forces use the B model ? The other 111s (kerosene)I have are in this light green colour. i believe they are Norwegian military. brgds Bjørn

    Oops I overlooked the 'b' part :-)
Mine is kero, much like this one: https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/15656

Still that chained cap looks identical. Previous owner lost the original cap and retrofitted a chained one salvaged from a damaged military model? I'm out of clues.
