    Hi!

It seems that I got a brand new stove and I would love to know any idea about how old it is (70s?)

    Thanks!

If the stamp is similar as the stamps still used on Primus boxes when Optimus obtained that production - it would indicate 1975, and the details looks like that era too.

    A nice find, congratulations.

If you intend to use it, Replace all the seals before lighting. After 40+ years they will be suspect. They are a good stove but a seal failure can result in a fireball.

I inspectioned it and the main seal looks like new! I will double check though. Thanks!

You can check for pressure loss, but many times a seal looks or feels soft but isn't good.

Thanks. I just removed the old Gasket, still in great shape. Even though it is still soft and flexible I decided to switch to a new viton gasket for security reasons. Extra precautions.

Good plan, for the cost and effort involved it's a good insurance policy.
