    I got this a few weeks ago at an antique shop.
    I need to get some parts for it, an alcohol jet and restrictor tube, washers and pump cup.
    No NRV washer, but it sealed well enough to burn a few times, now I wait for parts.
    I need to gently remove the pump assembly to ensure I don't worsen the damage someone else already did to the pump assembly. Note the nut out of alignment behind the leather.
    I sometimes got a little flame where the outer ring meets the flame spreader. (Gently) Tapping it made that go away.

    Ken, nice Opti Internationale, looks as if your inner rimg is misshaped perhaps re shaping it might help with the stray flame. A viton NRV pip installed with the current pip may help the seal.

    Thank you, I will do my homework to see the correct shape. I hadn't thought of that being the cause of the stray flame. I had been careful not to 'underburn', I had read about that.
