Flameshot of my Optimus 45. I have lightly cleaned it and renewed the washers, and made some temporary pot legs. Not sure of the year, but the burner is stamped optimus sweden. base is stamped uppl-vasy.

    Hi Tom, nice flame pattern.
Have a look at this post by Rob:

I believe that your stove is pre-1962 and the formation of the Primus Trading Co.

It was likely made between the mid-1950s and 1962.

Your pump knob looks non-standard as it should have a threaded top, on which the reserve cap is housed when it is not in use.

    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

Hi Kerophile, thanks for the link and your info.I think I may have used a handle from another stove just to get this going,as the leather washer had gone. I have the handle with the reserve cap on it.I took these photos a little while ago, at the time of my original posting regarding some leaks. You kindly gave me some advice if you remember. I think I agree with you regarding the age, it certainly concurs with what you have said.
Its taken me a while to post this picture, as I was unsure of the method, but whilst taking some photos of another stove I have just bought, I thought I would give this one a try.
    regards
    Tom
