First of all, if this is posted incorrectly, forgive me. I have not figured out exactly how forums work, if this should be a new thread, a reply, posted elsewhere, etc.

Hey guys, I just bought an Optimus No.45(A)? It has the alcohol burner, in a Bremer Sea Swing.
My question is, is the stove supposed to be mounted tightly to the Sea Swing? This stove just spins around in the mount and when in use, I doubt it would stay centered. My thought is that it should be mounted solidly to the Sea Swing, but??
Any information would be welcomed. Thank you in advance.

I guess I could Google around to see if there are some mounting instructions for the Bremer/45 combo

The stove should not spin around. Check out this post of my Optimus 45A in a Bremer Sea Swing. Maybe you can figure out what's missing.

Thank you very much. I did look through those pics, but the solution didn’t dawn on me until I saw pic number 5 (I think) anyway, there is a nut on the bottom of the riser tube in your pic. I just got the stove today, so I haven’t looked at it closely/tore it down yet. Seeing your pic, I think that nut must be loose, maybe missing? I’ll have to take a closer look. I didn’t notice that it was loose, but like I said, I wasn’t looking that closely yet. I was assuming that lower nut is what held the riser to the tank.

    P.S. I love this site.
    Everyone is so helpful.
    Thank you,
    John
