A question for those who know better than me.
This is my Parasene 150 Collapsible stove, and I don't know which way up the wind shield should go.
To me it looks like it should rest on the flame ring support, like this:-

However, the 'fingers' on the inside only just catch the support ring, even after I've adjusted them, the flame is also protected from any wind, with airflow from the bottom, which to me seems logical.

Or should the windshield rest on the pre-heater cup like this:-

In this position the fingers rest solidly on the cup, however it looks like it will leave the flame exposed above the top of the windshield.

The other reason I think the top position is correct is because of the slot in the windshield, which on another stove could fit over a fuel control valve:-

Hence my question, which way is up?
    Thanks in advance.

Using my Arara 35 and Primus 210 as examples, both windshields sit on the lip of the burner bell, thereby ‘covering’ the pre-heat cup, which assists with pre-heating the burner.

    Same deal with my 210

@Tim Read Preheating is supposed to get all of the tubes and cross passages at the top of the burner warm enough to vaporize the paraffin. The flame ring protects the cross passages and the wind shield does the rest. Having it rest on the priming cup keeps all of the heat in around the bottom of the burner tubes and partially shields the priming cup too. Resulting in better evaporation of the meths thus giving a hotter pre-heat.
I would go with pointing the large match access hole away from the wind too.
    Regards

Thanks @Pharael and @Jeopardy for your advice, so the priming cup it is then.
I will put it in the SRG when I've changed the seals and got it running.
