This item came inside the case with my Primus 210. The lower "collar" of it slips all the way over the burner and I can see no practical use for it. Likely unrelated to the stove. It is brass.
I do not think this is stove related . If it was it would probably be stamped with a parts number and other markings that would be traceable in catalogues in the archives . Check the Primus year code on the tank then find the nearest catalogue to that date. I reserve the right to be utterly wrong about this however Good luck
Thats a good tip. It's a '53. I have not inspected it thoroughly for markings, but there was nothing obvious.
I am no expert but it looks like part of a lamp to me . I bought a stove with a lamp part stuck on the top of the burner . !
At first I thought it was a UFO burner probably French. Then I saw the hole in the top. So much for first impressions. Ben
