I found a perko stove that was my grandfathers in the back of a closet in our ranch house. I would like to get it running again, and im wondering where to start?
Take a number of photos from all angles, post them in this thread or as a post in the Fettling forum and we’ll take it from there. Soundness of the fuel tank (no pinholes in the steel or cracks) and ‘routine’ consumables to check such as fuel cap seal, pump cup washer will be on the itinerary.
That Perko is one sturdy piece, impressive construction and nice design. Never even heard of the alloy monel. Asbestos is not on my wish list, but fire resistant for sure.
