    Not a design fault at all. They paint the tanks in one go, spray all over, done in a jiffy. These stoves, like most stoves are built for practical use and down to a price. A bit of blistered paint does not stop the stove working as it should. Let's stop this decadent western view of stoves. Do you think some local in the Hindu Kush or an Iraqi in his/her village cares about a bit of blistered paint?

    Just to let you know ... a friend bought a 625 from a German army surplus dealer and ran petrol on the kero jet.

    No problem so far, but after we changed the jet for a Gasoline jet, it performed a lot better, really.
