Hi, Here's my KampKook LCS 41 in very pristine condition running on Kerosene. Just a little bit of over fueling, but not enough to worry about. Cheers, Norman Stove hasn't been run in years so it has a dirty secondary burner. Very nice simmer for both burners.
Hi John, This is a crummy 235 Pak Cook and I decided to try your butane idea and the stove runs better on butane than it does on Coleman Fuel. From simmer to full blast runs good. Thank you for the great idea. Enjoy. Cheers, Norman
Hi Norman. Ha! Well done you! It certainly looks like it's happy on the butane and the heat conducted to the fuel should offset the evaporative cooling that afflicts some butane canister stoves. John
Hi John, Here is a very dirty Primus 71 and I know this is probably sacrilege, but I tried this stove on butane and it runs pretty good. I believe this is a 1946 or 47, but I may be wrong. Again your idea and thanks you for your great ideas. Cheers, Norman |imgRemoved|
Another triumph Norman! Fun, safe - what's not to like? I for one wouldn't call it sacrilege. Just an optional fuel source and a reversible modification you've incorporated - unlike those ghastly electifications of stoves and lanterns to electric lights. John
