    Testing a late production Optimus No. 00. Just fettled.

    Photos taken under the light of a Coleman wall lamp. No manipulation of the photo taken with iPhone.

    I’m happy with this! Now to see if I’ve got a set of legs and a suitable tin for this stove.

    Cheers

    Hi Tony

    The stove is burning as good as the day it left the factory.
    Nice work.
    The Sirram kettle is also nice.
    An Oatlands find?
    Looks familiar.

    @Scott B

    I’ve had that kettle for a few years at least. It could be from Oatlands. I keep thinking: “I should do some work on that kettle…”.

    Cheers

    Radius 17 with a silent burner temporarily fitted, as extended late night and early morning cooking sessions were anticipated in a relatively busy campsite. Running at full bore to bring a pressure cooker to the boil.

    IMG_6407.jpeg Coleman 502 and 400.
    Love them both.

    the 400 is great for what was a cheap buy for one where the prev owner caught it on fire and it was all blackened on the top half.

    @Tony Press that's kicking the heating out, and burning beautifully cleanly!

    Not shiny brass, but one that I got for my brother who doesn't have any MSR liquid stoves. He has a Svea 123, Nova, Ranger 199, and the Primus omni fuel. A little bit of elbow grease cleaning off all the soot, now it is good to go.
