@Remus1956 I've just noticed a tiny detail on your taykit that the similar stesco coil burners don't benefit from. There are what look like welds between the two sides of the coil. That presumably makes it much more difficult for the tubing to splay apart at the top. The benefit being that the flame is always going to heat the coils as the designer intended and not slightly more randomly if the separation at the top was to get accidentally "adjusted". A nice touch that I might not have noticed if you had the missing windshield.
I'm assuming that you still have your eyebrows.
    Regards
    John

@Jeopardy well to answer your first question haha... Yeah I got to keep them hahahaha... eyebrows intact.

I have never owned this stove but to quote Bela Legosi regarding electric "Jacob's ladders" I took the same stance...."I'm not getting anywhere near one of those damn things" hahahaha

It has good seals and shock to me it had a full tank of car gas in it. And not a leak. Jet was plugged and burned green fairy fire for about 10 minutes with some sputtering until it started running blue. I think it needs a few tanks to get the gas out but seems ok. Every time it puffs though I put up my guard like a boxer and wait.
You were correct... It's got something like silver brazes points on it. Since this is my first I had no idea if that's normal.
Trying to work out the measurements for a windscreen but seems ok without it.
Wife bought it for my birthday trying to get me something I have never owned... Got to open it today.

Nice, hope the flame became blue after running for a while. They do run nice, and the sound is awesome.

Yeah, the flame did become a bit bluer after a while, but it probably just needs to be run properly for the flame to be fully blue.
