Took my Phoebus 725 out tonight, made some coffee (with some Sheridan's in it ) and som toasts. The toast iron was a christmas gift. Best regards, Vidar
Very nice flame. Looks like an excellent simmer too. I never knew there was a cap for that stove. I have a 725 clone. It's a great stove but loud as heck. Sometimes I pass it up when I'm in a mood for a peaceful brew
I have two of these stoves one has a Primus 4010 combination silent cap which also works quite well, but the BernieDawg Wide Body silent cap has some great results.
1940 Primus 71, nickel plated. Hand made BernieDawg steel silent cap, BD70. Primus 71E(?) cook set base. Trangia .9L kettle, triangle TAL logo. Well water, Ooolong tea. A good start to the morning.
My old Punker, given by a sailing friend. It came on his sailboat over 30 years ago. He took it out at that time and it sat in his attic till he gave it to me a couple years ago. Great friend and great stove!
Fantastic stove BradB. That is the Holy grail to boaters like the Enders 9065D is to the VW camper van.
I would trade both of my Punkers for one 9065D. That does not say I do not like the Punkers, just how much I want a 9065D.
Hi John, I sent my PuppyDawg cap along with my 527. All Gary did was trim a little off the OD and the legs so it would fit into the burner bell. Cheers, Norman
