@Aaron1980 Tony and Wim’s suggestions are good - Wim’s no doubt the best option on cost grounds. I see supplier Base Camp have part no. 2003, flame tube for Optimus 510 (equivalent to the Primus) at £6.90 each!!! John
I hope these are ok. Only 1 is an Optimus 111B. Sorry I am new here and don’t have anything cool yet. Wish I had a 111C, 111T instead of my B. But it’s been a reliable stove. My Coleman Alex and Alex II summer great along with my 400a.
@AngryDaddyBird Those other stoves will come. Put the 111B in the dark, it will breed like mushrooms, or like rabbits. What are the alcohol stoves?

The alcohol stoves I made. Nothing fancy just sodacan stoves. Well beer bottle and soda can anyway. Glad you guys like it. I hike a lot and use an alcohol cookset for the light weight. But after I got hurt I car camp more orgime in only a mile or 2. I love wood stoves also.
I been looking at all the pictures on here and so many cool stoves out there I never knew about. There’s a Borde Bomb that really gets my attention. A friend has one and let me use it several times on trips. I love that thing! But a 111t is something I’d like someday. I got lots of alcohol fuel and setup to burn alcohol is what I’d like in a 111t.
Some more flameshots. This is an Optimus 80, from the 1930-period i would guess from the looks of things. The burner was hard to get free, took some grunting to get it free wihout breaking it! New seals in Viton. The wick was perfect. It holds pressure but a bit yellow, but I will let it burn some more.
Not a classic but had to buy it as its the strangest looking thing primus 2222 still coming to terms with its bizarre colour scheme
Hello @AngryDaddyBird. That first flame shot with the star configuration flame looks like it will swirl the flame in an anti-clockwise direction; possibly generating a more concentrated hotter flame. If so, it may be a very good design. John
Valor No55 Base date 6-48 Bit of a fettle after so many years sitting around, couldn't pump through the nrv so soaked pump tube in kero for the day and tonight it let go and a nice stream was let out, got to see if it'll light huh? Pre heat, years of green something Air valve closed and a couple of pumps A few minutes and a few more pumps 10 or so minutes in What the heck it' dinner time so on with the spuds Full flame Simmer Pretty happy with first burn, held her pressure right through with out need for pumping. Yes it is swirling alright. Took awhile and many attempts before finally understanding the flames I chose counter clock vs clockwise. Trying to stay different. It really speeds up boil times. 2 cups water under 5 minutes. With aluminum pot just seconds over 4. I used diy stoves for years now and love um!!not big btu’s But gets the job done
@AngryDaddyBird There is something strangely hypnotic in the flame patterns, and also beautiful. Would love to build one. Also the neat differing jet size around your second one, better heat spreading I guess.
It seems to keep things heated well the smaller sizefkame was intended for letting the bigger flame get more air to try and be hotter. Seems to work. I got few videos on the tube about these.
