Here’s the DIY Flame Spreader I made of Titanium. Burned several burns, boos few dozen pots of water to test it out and so far still looking good. Time will tell if it will last or not.

finally have the cranky thing running nicely a tank of fuel with it running at maximum tank got quite hot it surged and popped as it spat out carbon trivet glowing red too it now doesnt need help with the pricker every 5 minutes to keep running
I'm in the process of finishing the fettle on an Optimus No. 11 (@Harder D. Soerensen). The burner was very dirty, but I'm pleased with this first light up. I burned it for 20 minutes, and the flame got much bluer, but I'm still getting crud in the jet. I think I'll give the burner another flush with acetone and run some "Amish blend" through it. I used white vinegar to dissolve the crud from the internal passageways of burners. It's gentle in action, taking days, but it does work.
