After using my Optimus 111 this week, I gave it a good clean before putting it away. Here it is being tested after cleaning: Cheers Tony
Picked up this Optimus 22 recently. Did a quick servicing on all the basics, added the kero, and Wala! @MrAlexxx
My first contribution to this illuminating thread Also my first burn on a 111B that arrived in sad shape last week. Still in the testing phase.
@MedicineMan4040 Looks good. If you want to straighten out your flame ring a bit - its easily done on the “knob” on a regular car trailer hook - with a rubber mallet to gently tap it round.
Testing an old Primus 4138 silent burner (unfettled) on a 1930s Primus No. 5 - with beaten up brass Sirram kettle. Cheers Tony
Alex I’m lucky. Even though it’s beaten up and loosing its nickel, it still has the screws (as Marris called them) for the top and the spout. Cheers Tony @MrAlexxx
Harder thanks! Great idea and I will give that a go! I have however ordered several flame rings for the 'box'. But don't you think it works as is?
