    @Blackdog thanks! I understand your point, I would have loved to maintain a better patina, but there was also some corrosion to take care of (I anyway didn’t mirror polish the stove as can be seen).

    For the old repairs I am a little less sad, because they were really taking away the beauty of this old stove.

    I am pretty sure it will last another 130 years, a new patina will form and my repair will be part of its history as the preceding ones :)
